I write and edit regularly for Inter IKEA Systems B.V., producing both print and online material for a worldwide internal audience. Written communication is one of the most important ways the organisation provides conceptual and practical know-how and, for many readers, English is not their native language.
My work involves taking raw base content, turning it into inspiring, clear, and easy-to-read information. And making sure every sentence is in line with their tone of voice and comprehensive style guidelines.
The example opposite is a 116 page manual produced to explain the systems and methods used in one part of the IKEA Retail Logistics operation. The end result was a very cost-efficient and valuable resource for the client.
